Who we are
Jacobs Consultancy (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2026/508534/07) is a registered private company. We build websites, apps and automation for clients worldwide. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Jacobs Consultancy.
We follow recognised data-protection laws, including POPIA (the Protection of Personal Information Act) and the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), wherever they apply to you.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us. When you use our contact form or project form, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your company name (optional)
- What you need help with
- Your message
If you email us or book a call, we keep that correspondence so we can reply and work with you.
How we use it
We use your details only to reply to you, prepare quotes, deliver the work you ask for and send related invoices and updates. We do not use your details for unrelated marketing without your permission.
Hosting and form processing
Our website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. When you send a form, it is processed by Cloudflare and delivered to our inbox by our email provider, Resend. These providers may process data in other countries, including the United States, under their own privacy and security commitments. We also use Google Fonts to display text on the site.
We never sell your data
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We only share it with service providers we need to run our business (such as hosting and email), and only as much as they need.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The site only uses what is strictly necessary for it to work, and our hosting provider may keep basic, anonymous server logs for security.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond and, for clients, for as long as the law requires for business and tax records. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Your rights
Under data-protection laws such as POPIA and the GDPR, you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to how we use it, or receive a copy of it. You can also complain to the relevant data-protection authority.
